Third grade reading proficiency is a key indicator of future success, yet recent PSSA scores* show that more than 25 percent of third graders in Berks County fall short of being proficient.  Ready. Set. READ! is a collaboration among United Way of Berks County, the educational and business communities and community organizations  that will ensure reading proficiency for students by the end of third grade. 

 


Volunteer tutoring, parent education and community awareness are just a few of the ways Ready. Set. READ! will accomplish this goal. Learn more about RSR's multi-faceted approach and discover the volunteer opportunities available.
